Producers say that in the past few weeks, delivery of imported raw materials through Chittagong has lost speed.

(BGMEA) it was said that before the ships came ashore, they needed 2-3 days to get the raw materials imported, but it would take about 10 days now.


The delayed supply of imported raw materials has led to the lack of raw materials in various factories, which has affected the manufacturing and distribution process of garments and garments.


This situation began to deteriorate as the Chittagong port authority took over the loading and unloading operations of ships in May 11th.

In April 29th, the Supreme Court of Bangladesh requested that the operators in Chittagong should be stopped and the port authority of Chittagong would take over the loading and unloading operations.
