The biennial Gujarat conference will be organized by the government of Gujarat in January 2009.

This conference will bring together business leaders, investors, companies, think tanks, concept leaders, policy and evaluation advocates.

The summit will provide an excellent opportunity to better understand and exchange business opportunities in Gujarat.

In the first few successful precedents, "Gujarat" will attract several companies from Asia and Europe to set up their offices in Gujarat.

For example, in 2003, the global investor summit signed 76 memorandums of understanding worth up to US $14 billion.

The 2005 Summit signed 226 memorandum of understanding, worth 20 billion dollars, and the 2007 summit signed 675 memorandums of understanding worth 152 billion dollars.

The Gujarat government has the opportunity to take more active measures at the 2009 meeting to consolidate the way it was 6 years ago.

The state will promote the development process in the future stage, focusing on the sustained growth of social and economic indicators.

The textile industry in Gujarat contributed 6% to the gross industrial output value of the state and installed more than 40 thousand multi headed embroidery machines.

At the same time, the textile industry in the state accounted for 12% of the textile exports nationwide, with a more developed textile industry infrastructure, forming 18 clusters of products, 5 professional economic zones and 6 industrial parks.

The manufacturing units in Gujarat extend to the entire value chain, from cotton to fiber to clothing.

The state has many opportunities in the future.
